Most people might struggle to walk or run a 400m running track. Can you imagine walking 81 laps non-stop? Now imagine doing that at night!
Walking for a cause, 10 year old Sophia more than quadrupled her fundraising goal by raising $475 for cancer research. She was all lit up so that an eye could be kept on her walking through the night and managed an amazing 81 laps, finishing her last leg at 6.30am. Sophia was walking for her friends Chloe (Rutherford) and Yasmin who both lost their battles to cancer.
As part of her Girl Guide troop, Sophia helped raise a total of almost $3,300 (more than 3 times their goal!). What an absolutely tremendous Good Turn.
Well done girls!
